Australia’s flat & fast winter marathon weekend along surf beaches and Broadwater

A major road running event in Queensland featuring multiple races over two days—full marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, wheelchair races, junior dashes. Known for scenic views, ideal winter running weather, and many PBs.

Not yet fully published for all categories for 2026. (Earlier editions: full marathon in AUD ~$190+ for early/standard tiers; shorter races lower.)

Eligibility

• Marathon: minimum age 18 years
• Half Marathon, 10km, etc.: lower ages allowed (15 yrs+, 12 yrs+ etc.) depending on distance
• Wheelchair races: certain age minimums (e.g., 18+ for the wheelchair marathon) for racing wheelchairs
• Valid registration required; must comply with race policies and rules.

Prizes

For 2025, full marathon open division: AUD $20,000 for first place; 2nd: AUD $8,000; 3rd: AUD $5,000; and smaller amounts further down the places.

• Event is AIMS certified, so eligible for Boston Qualifying times.
